【摘要】:Thisclassificationsystemcoverspolyamide-imidematerialssuitableforinjectionmoldingandextrusion.Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationsystemarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.Theremaybeotherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.ThesemaybespecifiedbyusingsuffixesasgiveninSection.Thisstandardallowsfortheuseofrecycledmaterialsprovidedthatspecificationrequirementsbaseduponthisclassificationsystemaremet.Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecall-out(specification)isintendedtobeameansofcallingoutplasticsmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticsfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,theinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisclassification,andtheeconomics.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.(Reportingininch-poundunitsisacceptable.)Note1ThereisnoequivalentorsimilarISOstandard.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisclassificationsystem:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
