【摘要】:ThsInternationalStandardspecifiesthedeterminationofthetotalspecificexternalandinternalsurfaceareaofdisperseorporoussolidsbymeasuringtheamountofphysicallyadsorbedgasaccordingtothemethodofBrunauer,EmmettandTeller(BETmethod)[1],basedonthe1984IUPACRecommendations[2].TheBETmethodisapplicableonlytoadsorptionisothermsoftypeII(disperse,nonporousormacroporoussolids)andtypeIV(mesoporoussolids,porediameterbetween2nmand50nm)(seefigure1).Inaccessibleporesarenotdetected.TheBETmethodcannotreliablybeappliedtotypeIisothermsortosolidswhichabsorbthemeasuringgas.note:1)Forsolidsexhibitingachemicallyheterogeneoussurface,e.g.metal-carryingcatalysts,theBETmethodgivesthetotalsurfacearea,whereasthemetallicportionofthesurtaceareamaybemeasuredbychemisorptionmethods.
