【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthethermalenduranceoffilm-insulatedroundmagnetwireinairatatmosphericpressure.Itisnotapplicabletomagnetwirewithfibrousinsulation,suchascottonorglass.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofthermalendurancebyobservingchangesinresponsetoacproofvoltagetests.Theevaluationofthermalendurancebyobservingchangesinotherpropertiesofmagnetwireinsulationrequirestheuseofdifferenttestmethods.Itispossiblethatexposureofsometypesoffilminsulatedwiretoheatingaseousorliquidenvironmentsintheabsenceofairwillgivethermalendurancevaluesdifferentfromthoseobtainedinair.Considerthispossibilitywheninterpretingtheresultsobtainedbyheatinginairwithrespecttoapplicationswherethewirewillnotbeexposedtoairinservice.Itispossiblethatelectricstressappliedforextendedperiodsatalevelexceedingorevenapproachingthedischargeinceptionvoltagewillchangesignificantlythethermalenduranceoffilminsulatedwires.Undersuchelectricstressconditions,itispossiblethatcomparisonsbetweenmaterialswillalsodifferfromthosedevelopedusingthismethod.ThistestmethodissimilartoIEC60172.Differencesexistregardingspecimenpreparation.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
