【摘要】:Thisvolume(ATA/ATAPI-7V3)containstherequirementsfortheimplementationoftheserialtransportforATA.ThisvolumeiswritteninawaythatrequiresanunderstandingoftheparalleltransportdefinedinVolume2.Theserialtransportasdescribedinthisvolumeessentiallyemulatestheparalleltransportprotocols.Whilethis"parallelemulation"isnottheonlyimplementationthatispossibleornecessary,itprovidesabasisforthereadertoleveragepriorunderstandingofATA.Thereadershouldbeaware,however,thatparallelemulationisaconceptualconvenienceandisnotarequirementofthisstandard.
